i boot my box with archlinux iso image , config the ip addr,modify the /etc/hosts.deny , and then restart the sshd daemon;
when i login the box by ssh command, it needs enter the username and password, i enter the "root" as username ,but i dont know what's the password, i try everything i can but failed.
please help me more

That's because you haven't gotten to the step to set a root password yet. Try passwd and entering a new one or just hit enter, that should work.

Root login is also disabled by default in the sshd config.
