wmii with systray?

I want to run an network manager in wmii, but all network managers I think is usable want to have a system tray.

You cant use wicd, gnome nettwork manager or knetwork manager in wmii becouse the want i systray.

Is it possible to create a systray in wmii?

You can't. Follow the other users advice and use a standalone tray (stalonetray is ok from what I remember in my wmii days).
Just make a gap(make wmii not cover the entire screen, so that you leave space for the tray) and set stalonetray to run in THAT leftover space.

I think you could try a little trick too...
You could make your standalone tray be the size of the wmii panel (the height...and width to 100-200 pixels), and position it on top of the panel. make it always be on top and it should work..(might be visible while running fullscreen apps though....)
This are just my two cents..as I said I haven't used wmii in a while

Hello, with

$ wicd-client -n &

you can use wicd without a systray.
