openjdk6 in /usr/lib ?

What is the logic behind that ?
Why not use previous location: /opt/java ?

Re: openjdk6 in /usr/lib ?

Because /opt is bad for software managed by package managers. All other distributions package java environments in /usr/lib(/jvm) and it's the default for both icedtea and java-gcj-compat, so why not keep it that way?
