cheese missing dependency?

I'm not sure, but I think cheese is missing a dependency. It would give me an error about "missing gstreamer elements". I then installed gstreamer0.10-good, -bad and -ugly and the -plugins packages, and it worked.
Unfortunately I have no clue which one of those fixed it tongue But I thought I'd make it known anyways, someone else might run into the same problem later.

Re: cheese missing dependency?

Sorry for digging this up, just to let you know that it actually helped someone. I knew I had gstreamer0.10 installed, but I had missed the plugins and that did the trick for me on my EEEPC.

So, definitely, there are some missing dependencies for Cheese in Arch, especially for those not using the entire GNOME environment. You want me to file a bug report, or will you? smile

edit: strangely enough, pacman -Qi cheese shows gstreamer0.10-base-plugins as a dependency.
