Problem with configuring keytouch

I installed the actual keytouch package and started the daemon /etc/rc.d/keytouch.
As user (with internal kdesu)I ran keytouch-keyboard and selected my Microsoft RT2300 keyboard.
I entered "/etc/X11/Xsession &" and got the following output:
dieter@arch ~]$ /etc/X11/Xsession &
[1] 2994
[1]+  Done                    /etc/X11/Xsession
[dieter@arch ~]$ keytouchd: Plugin directory '/home/dieter/.keytouch2/plugins' does not exist. This program will continue without loading the plugins in this directory.
keytouchd: '/home/dieter/.keytouch2/RT2300.Microsoft' is an invalid keyboard configuration file.

The directory ~/.keytouch2 is not there. I assumed that it should be created by running "keytouch-keyboard". Is that wrong? What have I missed?
I'm running kdemod3 here as desktop.

Thanks, Dieter
