Hi,
I just bought a new laptop and most of the key elements like wireless work with reading howto's but my brightness isn't working i can't control with the gnome-brightness applet i have searched on google for this problem but haven't yet found any results. My laptop has got a nvidia quadro graphics card. Does anyone know how i can add support for brightness control for this laptop?? I haven't found something on the wiki, i use the latest kernel version + gnome.
I also can't set my brightness with this command: xbacklight -set 50
Well i found out that there is a terminal command:
echo -n 87 > /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness
but i don't have a VGA i have got
ls /proc/acpi/video/C14B/:
C160 C164 C165 C166 C167 DOS POST POST_info ROM infoAnd every C1** has a brightness .. tihing:/ and when i open a brightness file i read the mesage not supported, so i think i don't have any luck with this laptop
