The outpu of compiz manager is:

Detected PCI ID for VGA: 01:00.0 0300: 10de:0193 (rev a2) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Checking for texture_from_pixmap: present.
Checking for non power of two support: present.
Checking for Composite extension: present.
Comparing resolution (2560x1024) to maximum 3D texture size (8192): Passed.
Checking for nVidia: present.
Checking for FBConfig: present.
Checking for Xgl: not present.
Starting gtk-window-decorator

THe only help I found is http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Com … ow_borders, but my problem seems to be different then there.

Any help?
Thanks!

Re: compiz fusion - no window decoration

More info please.

Are you using Compiz Fusion standalone, or with a DE like GNOME?

Re: compiz fusion - no window decoration

With an nvidia video card, what helped me was to put the following in /etc/X11/xorg.conf under the Device section:

Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "On"

Re: compiz fusion - no window decoration

Have you tried this

gconftool-2 --install-schema-file=/usr/share/gconf/schemas/compiz-decorator-gtk.schemas

And also, is "compiz-decorator-gtk" installed?

Re: compiz fusion - no window decoration

This happens to me when a new window spawns. Almost EVERY FARKING TIME. I have to reload the window manager via the fusion icon to make the decorations come back.

Re: compiz fusion - no window decoration

Kinda same problem here, I installed compiz fusion with GNOME and everything worked fine (except some unknown type "all/all" etc warnings on installing compiz-fusion-gtk). I have fusion icon in tray, I enabled Windows decoration, move and resize as said in Wiki file but when I try to switch to Compiz - windows decoration is off. I have nouvea nVidia drivers installed, and the error is:

 * Setting window manager to Compiz
 ... executing: compiz --replace --sm-disable --ignore-desktop-hints ccp
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
compiz (core) - Fatal: Root visual is not a GL visual
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0

When I back to metacity it works ok .... Any suggestions?

Re: compiz fusion - no window decoration

If you can start gtk-window-decorator from terminal and everything works, please adding "gtk-window-decorator" in command entry under Window decorations option of CCSM, then it should solve your problem.
