what if not truecrypt?

Hey guys,

I'd like to encrypt a thumb drive in such a way that I can get to it from any machine.  What can I use to accomplish this besides truecrypt?

Re: what if not truecrypt?

I don't know about Macs, but for Windows: FreeOTFE understands LUKS/dm-crypt volumes (if you stick to aes-cbc-essiv:sha256 cipher mode)
You could even use an Ext2/3 filesystem if you install the Windows driver (but stay conservative with newer features, for example keep the inode size at 128 bytes, the old default).

See http://freeotfe.org/docs/Linux_volumes.htm

I hate sigs. This one only exists to remind myself to get an avatar.
