swfdec no longer work

swfdec is not working any more , i am using firefox . When i visit youtube it doesn't show anything. Both swfdec and plugin version is 0.8.2-1

start your browser from commandline and paste the error message it gives.

LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libswfdecmozilla.so [libgstpbutils-0.10.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]

it seems gstreamer is not an optional dependency anymore but mandatory, the package should be updated

It's more than just gstreamer being required. On Toutube videos I get this with gstreamer installed:

(The URL of course varies with the video, but the messages about decoding problems are the same... even with all gstreamer plugins installed.)

Youtube and other flash banner are working well here. See post.install message what's recommended to install. But there are some (rare) cases where flash works without the gstreamer packages. So it's optional.

I receive the same codec errors with swfdec. I have gstreamer installed.

well with this swfdec version firefox won't even load it as a plugin, so i guess the dependency is hardcoded in swfdec-mozilla now?

Flash banners work, but youtube videos themselves don't - and they did work properly with the last version, so I'm pretty sure this is not upstream. I've filed a bug report.
