[solved] epson stylus cx 4100 do not print

I have installed cups, usblp module is up, my user is in lp group, cups dameon is up, the printer (epson cx 4100) is configured...
but the jobs never prints... just stay there...
the printer status is ok, waiting jobs...
I have tried printing as root and nothing...
any idea?

just saw this...

well... I was using a pdd file, that gives me more printer options to config (it was for cx4100, I have used it in my previous instalation)
but now it do not work?

I tried using the gutenprint driver, and it works...

just saw this...

Go into cups config, delete the old printer, recreate it, and print like the wind...

yep, I did it... apparently it was something with the pdd file..., no idea why is not working (well, it was working in kde 3.5.9, do not know if it is related)

UPDATE: oops, it prints... but just black ink! or something like that.......
no, no just black ink... it prints bad... almost nothing... just a few lines...

the gutenprint package!
it was not installed!
