Can not use middle click to group windows in fluxbox

I decided to finally find out how fluxbox groups tabs. And I see that you should be able to middle click and drag a windows tab into another windows tab (Or title bar depending on your init file) and they will group.

Well my middle click does not allow me to drag either the title bar or the tab. It works fine in my keys file for :workspaceMenu. I have also tried to comment this out and see if the key binding was affecting it. That didnt work either.

Any help? I really want to tab windows.

Re: Can not use middle click to group windows in fluxbox

This problem, at least for myself, was caused by middle button emulation enabled in your Xorg.conf.  Look for a line that looks like this in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:

# Option     "EmulateWheel"         "on"
# Option     "EmulateWheelButton"     "2"

Make sure that they either have # in front of them or are absent, then your mouse button will be back to normal.

An alternative work around would be to play along with the emulation and use both your left and right buttons to emulate the middle click.
