Laptop hanged with leds blinking

Hi!
several minutes ago I restarted my hanged laptop. It's Compal FL90. It's quite wierd because caps lock and scroll lock leds were blinking and it was quite hot. system logs are clear, what it might be?

Caps Lock blinking means a Kernel Panic.  Did you just do a system upgrade of any packages?  If so, how long since your last upgrade?

Try rolling back the last update you did and see if that fixes the issue then.  Depending on what updated there's probably just a very few packages.

File a bug report upstream. And maybe say something on the LKML too... Userspace stuff is not supposed to cause a kernel panic.

Although - maybe networkmanager is probing a wifi module? What's your wifi hardware?
