Yakuake weirdness -- where to troubleshoot?

I've used Yakuake for a long time with no problems. Suddenly I'm getting some weird screen artifacts, jagged scrolling, etc.

I'm not sure where to look for the trouble. One recent change is that I went from KDE4.1 vanille to KDEmod4.1. I kept the desktop effects setting the same, however.

I'm also not sure whether the problem with with Yakuake itself or with the KDE terminal that apparently runs under Yakuake (at least I think this is how it works).

Thanks for any advice.

i had that months ago... lines overlapping when you scroll back chopping up the text? It didnt last long enough to catch my attention and was gone after a day or 2. I dont know what i did to fix it or to cause it.

I would try recompiling yakuake or something, maybe update your font cache too.

Re: Yakuake weirdness -- where to troubleshoot?

It looks as if my Yakuake problems are mainly, if not entirely, due to Compiz, or at least with the way Compiz works with KDE4.1.

When I switched from Compiz to Kwin as window manager, the Yakuake distortion went away.

I'll refrain from marking this "solved" since somebody may be able to help with the Compiz-Yakuake problem.
