fglrx & 64 Bit

So, I have been trying for two days, to no avail, to get the proprietary ATI drivers to work on my install of Arch. What I have done is update the PKGBUILD for 8.10 and built it from there. However, no matter what I do, I can't seem to get ATI's openGL implementation installed. I am stuck with mesa's. Here are some things I've done:

1.  Move the libGL.so.* from the pkg directory of catalyst after makepkg-ing to /usr/lib /usr/lib64/xorg/ and /usr/lib/xorg.

2.  Attempted to move the libglx.so from the pkg directory of catalyst after makepkg-ing only to be told that the file didn't exist and then found out that it was linked to libglx.xorg, which was no where to be found, except for, what I'm assuming, was libgl's, which is still located in /usr/lib[64]/xorg/modules/extensions.

3.  Installing libgl, installing catalyst, uninstalling libgl.

So far, nothing has worked. Has anyone else been able to get this to work? Oh, and it's also important to note, that even with the original 8.8 drivers, it wasn't working.

Help!

Re: fglrx & 64 Bit

Okay, so I fixed the problem by updating to 8.11.
