Eclipse doesn't work after update
After the latest update the Eclipse IDE does not work anymore. Here is the error log file:

I don't know anything about java, so I don't understand much from that logfile.
I'm using the CDT package with Eclipse if it makes any difference.

I'm having this exact same error. Using latest stable Eclipse, Eclipse-CDT and Sun JDK on i686. This looks like some kind of search path or version mismatch problem.
I will look into it...

This happened to me after moving to the new openjdk platform. Removing ~/.eclipse resolved it for me.

Deleting ~/.eclipse fixed the problem.
Pretty much all your settings are in the workspace directory, anyway, so this shouldn't cause you much problems. Back up your existing .eclipse directory just in case.. 
Edit: damn, just a bit too slow...
