[solved] OpenOffice's spellcheck doesn't seem to check spelling.

Having a bit of a problem with this, folks. I set the language, but when I hit F7 it simply tells me that the spellcheck is complete. I know for a fact that a lot of the words are spelled wrong (I put gibberish in to test it), and still nothing. What gives?

You probably have to install the appropriate dictionary extension.  see http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Openoffice
In the "Extension management and spell checking for OpenOffice 3.x" section.

Ah, there we go.

That's a little odd, all the dictionaries are in the directory, but nothing's "installed"?

Wright in Vim insted. unlike OO, which almost never suggests the right words, Vim almost always sugests the correct spelling, normally within the top 5 in the list
