[SOLVED]Imagemagick installation

Greetings,

I like to try Imagemagick as an alternative to GIMP. Installation with pacman went ok.
pacman -Q imagemagick, listed it is installed but no application menu created and in the command line using imagemagick give bash error (no command) also which command did not list it. If it is script to execute which script to be executed. I have checked its dependency and all are installed.

Pl help.

Re: [SOLVED]Imagemagick installation

There won't be any menu entry created for Imagemagick because it works in the background unless you install some kind of front end for it.

Check the Imagemagick home page for more information about it and a few front ends for it.

Re: [SOLVED]Imagemagick installation

just type "display" into a user terminal (without the quotes, of course) to get that part of imagemagick up and running. For other programs like "convert" try on the command line something like convert xxx.png xxx.ps (assuming your have a png file handy) and it will convert to the new graphics format. Most of the time it works perfectly.
