VirtualBox mouse capture blocked

I installed the OSE version VirtualBox following the Arch Wiki. Installed Windows XP from the CD.

The only trouble I have right from the beginning is the "mouse focus". During installation mouse click on VB windows brings only the warning that "auto capture" is enable. Saying "enable" there won't bring mouse clicks in the Windows system. Clicking the special tool in the bottom bar didn't help either. I installed purely from the keyboard.

After that I got focus and worked for some time. After a new start (guest OS and VB) I have the same problem again. My suspision is the the WM OpenBox interrupts this mouse action. Any hints?

Did you install the virtualbox guest tools in the Windows XP installation?

You need the tools to move your mouse in and out of your virtual machine.

Yes, you need the tools to do that.  But to install the tools, you need to go to your XP virtual machine's settings and make sure the virtual CD drive is set to mount an ISO rather than a CD in your computer's actual drive.  The ISO is called vboxguestadditions.iso (I think).  Then, boot into your VM again and go to the Devices menu and click on "Install Guest Additions".
