[SOLVED] suspend hibernate successful--now get gnome to do it

I hae just got hibernate and suspend working on my laptop using either pm-utils method or uswsusp method.  (that is my system will sucessfully hibernate and resume when i run either pm-hibernate or hibernate as root.  same goes for suspend)

But try as i might, i cannt get gnome to sucessfuly hibernate or suspend when i click on the hibernate or suspend buttons from the System->Shutdown window

Anyone know how i can tell gnome what command to use to suspend/hibernate?

I take it all back.  Turned my computer completely off and on a bit (tyring different things out) and now it just works.
Woot! Thanks Guys.  I think now i'll go hibernate my laptop, just for fun....or maybe suspend....;)
