The "What is what in this screenshot?" - Thread

Please see the following two screenshots:

Number 1: http://pix.nofrag.com/f/7/7/f8493b425cf … bcf59.html

Lower left corner - what is the app hosting that clock?

Number 2: http://www.gigamo.be/currentdesk.html

Is that some CLI based IDE?

I think Number 1 is NCMPC with some option enabled.

Number 2 is VTreeExplorer, a plugin for Vim

Zeist is rite! the first one is ncmpc with the clock option. pressing F6 in ncmpc will invoke the clock!

I haven't installed ncmpc in a while, but I think you have to install it from ABS and edit the pkgconfig to get the clock functionality.

Exactly, the clock is not included in the standard package.

Number 2 is in fact vim with VTreeExplorer on the left, but also taglist on the right.  I tend to stack them both on the left but this setup does look pretty nice.

archlinux - please read this and this — twice — then ask questions.

I installed it with yaourt (ncmpc-git), editing the PKGBUILD, adding the option --enable-clock-screen and when I press F6, nothing happens...

¿Any idea?
