Re: [Solved]Blender starting problem

After full update of packets list in archlinux x86_64 i installed blender 2.64-3. After typing blender i received: error while loading shared libraries: libIlmImf.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. I find an easy way to solve this problem. libIlmImf.so.6 - is the library of openexr. openexr 1.7.1-1 doesnt contain libIlmImf.so.6 but contains libIlmImf.so.7. Therefore: cd /usr/lib and sudo ln -s libIlmImf.so.7 libIlmImf.so.6. Thats all.

Re: [Solved]Blender starting problem

@grishnan: That is NOT a solution. Rebuilding the Blender package would be the proper solution. You are potentially asking for trouble with the "just link the file" approach.

Re: [Solved]Blender starting problem

mrunion thank you for comment. I agree with you  it is necessary to catch bug into the blender source. My pseudosolution is rather a bad trick than the UNIX way.
