Blocky Desktop

Hi folks

Im just installing arch in virtualbox before i remove windows. I was wondering why my openbox install looks so poor. It was a base install, and all i have added in openbox, quod libet and gtk2. Im sure im just missing something simple:

Re: Blocky Desktop

Looks like the GTK2 Raleigh theme. Install something like gtk2_prefs and some themes. You can then switch the themes with gtk2_prefs.

Desktop wallpaper, gtk2 theme, icon theme, openbox theme, fonts...

Re: Blocky Desktop

Perhaps gnome-settings-daemon has to be running, too?

Re: Blocky Desktop

I use switch2, an app mentioned in the Openbox page on the wiki if I remember correctly. It worked well in Openbox and still works well in dwm.

Re: Blocky Desktop

gtk-chtheme is a pretty light option. it'll create a .gtkrc-2.0 file for you. if you want to select icons, you'd need to create a .gtkrc.mine file and put the following in it...

gtk-icon-theme-name= "nameoficontheme"
