Dear Friends,
I am an end user and rather new with Arch Linux (3 months). Even within this short period I really interested in Arch so that I made it as my Primary OS. The most goodness I felt is the co-operation among the members of Arch community who are ready to help. Wonderful indeed.
The other thing which attracted me is the availability of frequent updates. I think that this is not possible even for enterprise giants. Congratulations to every one concerned an I am proud being a humble member of this FAMILY!!!.
Even though I know nothing about programming or administration or any such complicated matters, I have some problems and ideas about updates.
I have to download a full package for each & every update. This seems expensive and a waste both of money and precious bandwidth. A solution just like delta rpms implemented by opensuse will be sensible. Thus we have to download only modified files of the packages concerned. This will reduce bandwidth needs and server load and of course valuable time. Such implementation at least for heavy packages will be a boon for Arch users.
Once again I admit that I don't know the technology but I hope our brilliant Developers and experts can do much in the matter.
A proud Arch Linux user
