What do do after installing (not found in sync DB?)

Hello I just finished installing arch. Im trying to set up xorg from some random tuts i found and it says its not found in sync DB. SO far all ive done is install arch. I only edited the rc.conf I use a wired connection to a router if thats important. SO if i missed a file please explain what to do im a bit of a noob. Ive set up a user account and that is about it really if you need anymore info just ask. thanks for your help and time

Are you including the official beginner's guide in the Arch wiki in "random tuts"? If not, follow that instead of whatever random tutorials you've found. That should work all the way through.

Are you using

pacman -S xorg

to try to install xorg? "xorg" is case-sensitive.

If that doesn't work, try

pacman -Syy

to force a database refesh.

If that still doesn't work, uncomment some mirrors in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and try using a different mirror by moving it to the top of the file.
Force a database refresh again with the new mirror then retry xorg.
