Compiz fusion issues

Hi,
I installed compiz fusion and it is working correctly (almost) it starts at the beginning of my session and works without problems. I have 2 questions:
1. I use Gnome, but the menu bars (up and down) are still with the metacity theme, the menu also.....even if on the emerald menu is selected compiz why?
2. By using the cube how can i put an image on the top and bottom of the cube and behind the cube?

Thank you very much
Teo

Re: Compiz fusion issues

1.) Change your GTK theme to one similar to your Emerald theme (Compiz Fusion theme).
2.) I believe it's somewhere in CCSM (Compiz Fusion's configurator)... dig around some more. Or, try to find the images Fusion is using for the top and bottom on your drive ('pacman -Ql nameofcompizfusionpackagehere' and then look for the image among those)... you could search for the name of the file in CCSM's advanced search (make sure to enable searching in input fields) to find the config option, or you could just replace those images, though that's inelegant.

For the question 1 how can i make the menu transparent so? I thought that by having compiz it will become transparent automatically....

Re: Compiz fusion issues

they changed the position......now to make the menu transparent we need to go to the Opacity, Brightness and Saturation button.....
I will never understand why they always change the buttons....to make people mad to find them again?

Re: Compiz fusion issues

In ccsm, Desktop - Desktop Cube - Appearance tab - Cube caps for top cube image. (if you're not using cube reflection and deformation).

Desktop - Desktop Cube - Appearance tab - Skydome for background image.

To define bottom cube cap (and top if you use this), from Effects, enable cube reflection and deformation, go to appearance under cube caps tab.
