Kde : proxy config not working

Hi,

I recently switched from Gnome to KDE.

I'm trying to configure the proxy settings in the "Network Settings" but it's not working.
Applications like Kopete, or the Cover Grabber in Amarok cannot use internet, while firefox can.

When I used Gnome, everything worked fine. I just configured the proxy settings in the gnome config.

Is there any specific KDE trick i am not aware of to get the proxy connection working?
