I can't get the root to change it's console colors. I read the wiki and put the code it said to in /root/.bashrc but root is still plain white. I put the lines for user in ~/.bashrc and that worked fine. Whats wrong??
Thanks in advance!

Wow! I wonder why the wiki doesn't say that. I've been wondering why I had this problem as well for months, but I never had time enough to ask for a solution for this minor problem.
Thanks!

It's not a problem, had you bothered to read the manual for the most used piece of software on your computer you would know why is that.
Here it is, nicely formated http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual … rtup-Files
You need to install an RTFM interface.
