Shell-fm changes PCM volume on start

Shell-fm sets PCM volume to maximum if:
1. Turn on computer; after it kdm screen appears;
2. Press Alt+Ctrl+F1 and login trough the terminal;
3. Start shell-fm in terminal.
But if I'm login through kdm and then login through terminal shell-fm doesn't change pcm volume. Any ideas?
