[SOLVED] Borders on tint2, even when I have disabled it. (Openbox)

I have a problem with Openbox and tint2. I have added tint2 to my rc.xml file, where I specific tells it not to skin tint2. But somehow on a reboot it get skinned again. Even though I have set decor to yes or no. So I need to reconfigure for the setting to apply properly.

Anyone else experienced a similar problem?

I never got the tint2 package to work properly for some reason.  Try this tint: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=17082
This one seemed to work fine for me - though I'm sure there must be an actual solution, if you get impatient give it a try.

If you allow Openbox to look at it like just any other app, it will decorate it...

This is what I have in my rc.xml:

<application name="tint">
      <desktop>all</desktop>
      <skip_pager>yes</skip_pager>
      <skip_taskbar>yes</skip_taskbar>
      <decor>no</decor>
</application>

If you have problems with copy/pasting this into your rc.mxl, just type it over, I copied this from a Windows box (rc.xml opened in a text editor). Just to make sure you don't get no Windows-style end of lines wink.

Will post a screen tomorrow, and I will try the above setting.

Did you check your tintrc to make sure you don't have a border set in there?  Actually, maybe you should post your tintrc.

Actually, I changed to Enlightenment. Work a lot better. Though I only get 300fps with glxgears.

Why'd you give up?  Don't let it beat you.  Just for kicks you should look at your tintrc:

#---------------------------------------------
# PANEL BACKGROUND AND BORDER
#---------------------------------------------
panel_rounded = 9
panel_border_width = 2
panel_background_color = #000000 0
panel_border_color = #000000 0

note that at the end of my border color string I have a 0, which means the border won't show up.

If I choose to use Openbox once again, I will use your suggestion above. But currently I enjoy E17.
