Using python-virtkey?

I've been trying to do some python programming and need to simulate keypresses/keycombos. Found the python-virtkey in aur http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=16770 can't find any documentation about it.

How do I it use to simulate 'Alt + 2'?

Any help is appreciated.
