Hi,
I was given a Microsoft ARC mouse. It's a wireless USB mouse that uses one of those tiny USB tranceivers to operate. Anyway it freezes from time to time and so I went to the MS site to see if they had any docs about the device. What they have is a .exe download for windows or a .dmg file for MAC OSx. How do you get into a dmg file??? I've tried mounting it with mount -o loop but Arch says that it can't find /dev/loop. Any other methods I've tried also fail.
If I can't get into this file is there a recommended xorg.conf entry for wireless USB mice???
Any ideas???
Thanks

You need to modprobe loop to use loop now.

Thanks Skottish. I installed hfsprogs (from AUR), modprobed loop hfs hfsplus (individually) and tried mounting it and now I get;
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/loop0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
If I try dmesg |tail I get;
hfs: unable to find HFS+ superblock
hfs: unable to find HFS+ superblock
hfs: unable to find HFS+ superblock
hfs: can't find a HFS filesystem on dev loop0.

hfs: unable to find HFS+ superblock

Is this a case of MS messing up the dmg file?? (I did re-download it to try again.)
