Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

pacman -S sqlite3

gives me this:

error: failed retrieving file 'sqlite3-3.6.6-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz' from ftp.archlinux.org : File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)
.
.
.
.

for every single repository in my mirrorlist file.

Did something break?

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

`pacman -Sy sqlite3` or `pacman -Syy sqlite3`

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

The package sqlite3 for x86_64 was updated today.
Maybe a mistake has slipped in, the file is indeed not present on the mirrors. You could notify the package maintainer Andreas Radke.

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

sqlite-3.6.6-1 is running right now on my system.  Maybe not all mirrors have synced up, but yankeefan said he tried them all, so it has to be a local sync issue.

@creslin: Are you running a x86_64 system?

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

Tried doing pacman -Syy to clear your cache yet?

Sqlite3 comes up when I search for it, it's in the extra repo.

EDIT: Loaded the page before any replies had gone up. Then I posted and saw that my suggestion had already been suggested. Anyway, I'm on Arch32.

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

I have it on both my i686 and x86_64 systems.  I just checked a few other mirrors and it was still missing on them, but at least locke.suu.edu is currently synced for x86_64 (not sure if it's frowned upon to broadcast 1 specific mirror like this, please remove this if it's not ok).

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

Maybe there is a misunderstanding but on locke.ssu.edu, I can only find 'sqlite3-3.6.5-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz' (in /linux/dist/archlinux/extra/os/x86_64/), and not 'sqlite3-3.6.6-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz', which is confirmed by YankeeFan's latest try.

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

You're right, that's just a stupid mistake on my part misreading pacman -Q.  I won't even try to explain how I mixed that up.  Anyway we just have to wait for the mirrors to sync.

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

So how long does it usually take for the mirrors to sync up? ...and is there any other way to get/build the sqlite3 package?  I've got a new install that is dead in the water because kdemod requires sqlite3.

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

Just get abs, run abs as root, copy the /var/abs/extra/sqlite3 folder to somewhere, go inside it, 'makepkg -si' as root. That's what I did.

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

3.6.6 is still not up on ftp.archlinux.org.

Edit: for x86_64, of course.

I hate to sound like a jerk, but I think the x86_64 repository needs more attention... It's still plagued by the annoyances that had me using Arch32 for so long - packages not being updated and causing stuff to break, for example. (/me stares in direction of "broken Firefox" thread)

This is what I did too, it's a really fast build.

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?

Actually, the recent Firefox update not having an updated Xulrunner and this are the only two real issues I've ever had because of x86_64 smile

It's up now. This issue had nothing to do with x86_64. The developers draw no distinction between the two. The issue was my fault - during the server move, I introduced a bug into the dbscripts that prevented the maintainer from copying the sqlite3 file to the actual repo even though it was put in the DB.

Re: Did sqlite3 just up and disappear?
