Hi,
After a "xset dpms force off" (or a timeout from X that turns off my screen), when I wake it with a mouse/keyboard, my backlight is at the lowest setting. I have to manually turn the brightness up every time even when the brightness is at 100% when the screen turns off. I am not using xscreensaver or anything like this, I'm just setting timeouts with xset dpms.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Erik

xrandr --output LVDS --set BACKLIGHT_CONTROL legacy
This fixes the issue, but I still don't know why, and I don't like the fact that I have to use "legacy". If anyone can clue me in on more info that would be great.
