i just installed netbeans and i am greated with this
which: no javac in (/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/opt/kde/bin:/usr/bin/perlbin/site:/usr/bin/perlbin/vendor:/usr/bin/perlbin/core:/opt/qt/bin)
which: no java in (/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/opt/kde/bin:/usr/bin/perlbin/site:/usr/bin/perlbin/vendor:/usr/bin/perlbin/core:/opt/qt/bin)
Cannot find java. Please use the --jdkhome switch.
this a bug?
for a quick fix how can i get this runnig if
$ whereis java
java: /usr/share/java /opt/java/bin/java
i have tried
netbeans --jdkhome /opt/java/bin/java
but that does not work

JAVA_HOME is set to "/opt/java" in /etc/profile.d/jdk.sh. If you just installed the jdk, the behavior you're describing is expected as JAVA_HOME hasn't been exported.
Try logging out and then logging back in.
