arch installation cd doesn't boot on laptop (dell xps m 1530) [SOLVED]

when i boot the newest arch installation cd it says something like
"loading stage 2" and then a grub command line opens and i can't install arch !!!
on my desktop pc with the same cd i get directly to the installation menu...
any ideas???

Well, you could try booting the CD on your desktop, hitting 'e' on the first entry, and writing down every line you see, then booting the CD on the laptop, and typing the commands in...

i just tried ...
when i enter

kernel /boot/vmlinuz26 lang=en locale=en.US-UTF-8 ramdisk-size=75%

i get

ERROR 25: Disk read error

my hdd is a 500GB Serial ATA (AHCI enabled) - but doesn't arch support these kind of hard disks ????

Nope, this means your computer can't read the cdrom with the arch installation. Try recording a new one at lower speed.
