QEMU not Booting Windows XP

Can anyone help me? I'm getting this exact error on two independent systems, trying to virtualise windows XP in arch64:

Have you tried it without -kernel-kqemu? I'm willing to bet that's the issue here. I had trouble with it and Windows 2000. Why not use KVM? It's faster and less buggy.

You're right! It does work if I don't use kqemu. I'll give kvm a shot; I've never tried it before.
