When i reply to an email from mutt, an extra space gets added between the Re: and the actual subject.
this works well in that my first reply is "Re: Some Subject Line" and not "Re:Some Subject Line". however, after a few days of emailing back and forth on the same thread, i end up with an inbox like this:
Re: Some Subject Line
Re: Some Subject Line
Re: Some Subject Line
Some Subject Line
is this an intended functionality? or a function of my the reply_regexp setting?
the above occurred while using the default setting, and many other reply_regexp settings including my current one:
set reply_regexp='^(([Rr][Ee]?(\[[0-9]+\])?: *)?(\[[^]]+\] *)?)*'
is there another config option i'm missing here?

Hrmm...I've never experienced this issue, and I use the default setting.

yeah definitely happening to me with default reg_exp.
i could see it being on purpose; you don't want your reply to "Subject" to be "Re:Subject"; you'd want "Re: Subject". but i want that to stop after the first email; if i'm sending emails back and forth an extra space is inserted with each correspondence. bizarre.
if anyone's interested:
~/.muttrc
~/.vimrc
~/.vim/mail
[FYI: i've been having issues with my ftp server; it works for me but if you encounter errors please message me. i can email what you were looking for and you can help me debug ]
