I've got 2 machines running 64 bit. A laptop and a desktop. Both softwares are identical. My laptop is fine, but the desktop, I recently rebooted and X is coming up in 640x480.
xorg log shows a failure to pull the EDID of my monitor, which is a DFP attached with a dual link DVI cable.
Interesting thing is I havent changed anything. I suspend my desktop so its been quite a while since I rebooted... I tried using DisableEDID or something like that...but it didnt help. switching back to the vesa driver works fine and gets me back to 1680x1050. Even tried rebuilding the xorg.conf with hwd -xa, same problem.
Browsing the pacman log it doesnt look like much has changed but the kernel recently. But has the same kernel and nvidia driver on my laptop ![]()
Anyone else having any similar issues?
