GNOME find files instead of nautilus

I have a strange problem, whenever I try to open Home from the "main menu" of Gnome find files pops up instead of nautilus@/home/username

I have tried both to remove all the .gnome2 and .gnome2_private and .nautilus but the problem still occurs.

Any ideas fellas?

Re: GNOME find files instead of nautilus

I had a similar issue. The problem was with /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache. Take a look at yours, the inode/directory is probably set to something other than nautilus-folder-handler.desktop.

Re: GNOME find files instead of nautilus

I also have this issue, but from Xfce. I'm on vacation right now, but when I get home I'll try out Gustavo's fix.
