suspend problem

I've been using Arch Linux on my xps m1330 for a month or so now, and suspend has almost always worked. Recently I tried out the beta nvidia drivers in the AUR, however my computer would not wake after suspending, so I switched back to the normal drivers. Now however, my machine takes several seconds after sending the suspend command to even start trying to suspend, and a good portion of the time it will instead freeze (mouse moves, some commands work, trying to halt or reboot doesn't, my conky freezes as well)

Is there any way to fix this?

Re: suspend problem

did you solve your problems? I upgraded my system recently after a longer period without updates and also installed the newest beta nvidia drivers. My XPS M1330 suspends OK, but something like never comes back (before everything was ok) - it even doesn't come back when not in X- but what's strange is that If I am at the console when suspending I can type blindly reboot or halt after resuming and it does it!  so the problem seems to be that graphics are not reinitialized - console graphics?! I don't really understand it. Tried kernel downgrade already..
