What might be the cause for not recognizing "glx" and "i810"?

I think type 1 is a known problem and will be commented out.

I am attempting to run x86-64 for the first time. Loaded base modules and ran ...pacman-syu...

Have you installed "xf86-video-i810". Better yet, switch to the intel driver.

same problem here after a FTP install of x86_64, getting mouse and keyboard module and driver errors from startx

LOL... Solved i don't know i had to install xf86-input-mouse and keyboard drivers

lilsirecho, how did you solve it? I have an i855 chipset with integrated graphics, and enabling the intel driver instead of i810 works, but only partially - screen definition looks a little garbled, video looks somewhat pixellated, and glxgears is reporting a very, very low result. I'd still like to use i810 which was working perfectly before Xorg's update to 7.4.

This update has been everything but smooth, but I do hope I can sort it out.

i810 driver is throwing out a few errors, I'll post 'em here in hope someone can help.

BTW, this is not Arch64 specific, as I'm using 32bit Arch.

edit: This is the error I'm getting with the i810 driver (and I do have xf86-video-i810 installed).

With the intel driver, I am getting the right screen size (in this case 1280x1024), glxinfo greps direct rendering working, but video in fullscreen isn't as crisp as it was, showing somewhat pixellated, and as I have glxgears throws out a horrid FPS result, and for example, Gridwars which was working perfectly, no longer starts and throws out a "appstub.linux signal handler 11" error.

I'm also starting Xorg @ 100 dpi (changed the xserverrc to add -dpi 100)

Any help will be greatly appreciated
