Hi all,
I'm tryng to get my ESI Maya44 sound card to run on Arch.
There is a patch to get the card working by recompiling the alsa-driver.
Unfortunatly the patch seems to be specific for Ubuntu.
The compiling and installation goes well but the kernel can't load the modules for some reason.
I get lots of "Unknown symbol" errors:
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_device_new
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_rawmidi_new
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_rawmidi_set_ops
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_ice1712_akm4xxx_build_controls
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_pcm_hw_constraint_msbits
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_i2c_device_create
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_pcm_period_elapsed
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_pcm_hw_constraint_step
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_ac97_read
snd_ice1724: Unknown symbol snd_info_get_line
etc...
Does any one know how to get the card running?

I am very interested in getting Maya44 working in Arch, but never compiled kernel modules. It must be done via ABS? I will try too.
Forgive me my english.
