Those packages are really outdated and don't seem to be any longer maintained:
songwrite http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=1537
frobtads http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=7409
qtads http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=7413
They should be orphaned so other people could take care of them.
abcm2ps-devel is orphaned but should be bring back to AUR:

Shouldn't these requests be rather sent to aur-general mailing list?

I don't use mailing-list at all because I don't want to be the target of spams.
Isn't this forum good enough to alert trusted users? A dedicated page on the wiki could be even better...

I orphaned the three packages mentioned in the initial post, but the correct way would be
* to contact the author via mail
* if he does not answer or the mail adress is broken, contact aur-general.
I this case the maintanence seems to be layed down for months now, so I think we can make an exception.

thank you. I tried to contact the author of frobtads and qtads 3 weeks ago, and didn't get any reply so far.
I've also commented a long time ago, in case of a new comment the author get an automatic email.
About songwrite, the package seems to be outdated for a long time too.

I don't use songwrite, but it seems like there's songwrite and songwrite2. Perhaps it would be better to submit a new package for songwrite2 and keep the original songwrite for version 1's 0.14?

yes, it's true. I had already replaced songwrite with the version 2.02, so I've created a new package with this new version instead (called songwrite2), and modified songwrite so it can run the old 0.14 version as well.
