Can't get Skype?

Hello,

Based on the wiki, Skype is in "community"
My "/etc/pacman.conf" has community uncommented. I type in "pacman -Sy skype" and it says that the package doesn't exist.

I tried loading it with ABS.. skype wasn't in the ABS tree.

I looked through AUR and found this PKGBUILD:
http://repos.archlinux.org/viewvc.cgi/c … ev=CURRENT

Unfortunately apparently everything here is only for i686.

Am I missing something?

Re: Can't get Skype?

You're not missing anything, skype is a 32-bit only binary.  You either need to set up a 32bit chroot or use the bin32-skype package from AUR (which will need some of the lib32-* packages from [community]).

Re: Can't get Skype?

There is not skype for 64 bit architecture

This may help if you want to make 32 bit software works under 64 bit.
