i use mouse gestures in mozilla since mozilla 0.9.9 - very usefull!! (optimoz)
shortly i ran over an app for windows, that enables gestures for all apps available in windows: http://www.tcbmi.com/strokeit/
funny, but since i installed it, i start to like working in windows a little bit more (no more ctrl-c ctrl-v to copy/paste, running apps by simply draw M or W or E on desktop - cool!! that should be defaultly installed on every windows by my opinion (running commands in a OS, that do not have any usefull shell is horribly primitive, but gestures make it more "usable"))
as windows is not my normal desktop and is only used, when i do ebanking, it's obvious, that having mouse gestures in X would be the next step in making the desktop more usefull
a little search resulted this:
http://www.xstroke.org/
http://gestures.sourceforge.net/
http://www.stressbunny.com/wayv/
does anybody have any experience with one of them?

Mouse gestures can also be supported by wm/de. For example this library is often used with fvwm: http://www.etla.net/libstroke/ I never tried it but I'm planning to (like many many other things on my to-do list :-))
BTW at least xstroke is using this library. Links to other projects (including kstroke) are on that page too.
