Uh, you don't mess with it. At all.
Just leave the xorg.conf as is, and make sure that your Rgbpath is commented out.

Yeah, just leave it as-is. The hotplug support mostly deals with peripherals such as mice or keyboards afaik. Cheers.

People need to stop saying the nvidia module doesn't work. It's the version supporting older cards that doesn't. (nvidia-71xx is no longer supported)
