Hokay, so.. ran pacman -Syu, and got the new xorg.
Keyboard and mouse work great, however, I've ran into an issue with my fonts. Specifically fonts that don't scale, such as the artwiz fonts.
Here are a couple of screenshots:

For some reason the nvidia drivers wouldn't compile after the update either, so I just installed nvidia-96xx package.
That work ok, but I can't help think it's related somehow.
I've done everything everyone with this problem has suggested, such as reinstall pango, fc-cache -v, etc.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem with the 96xx drivers too and have seen 4 or 5 other people on the forums with it as well.
I think someone already filed a bug with nvidia. I'm just using the standard nvidia drivers for now.
Some fonts do it and some don't, so if you're stuck with that driver you can change fonts til you find one that works
til a fix is found or you get the standard nvidia driver compiled.

Same problem here with the nvidia-96xx drivers.
I guess RMS was rigth all along, relying on proprietary software is never a wise choice.
Using xf86-video-nv instead of the nvidia driver seems to work at least for 2D graphics.
