scim slowing gnome down

Hello people,
As you can see, that´s my first post in the forums (it´s not that important, but whatever tongue). Well, I´m not good with words, so I´ll just describe my problem:

I´ve noticed that gnome got pretty slow in the last few days and after running some programs in the terminal, I found out that scim was being launched for every app, and the app just started after launching scim. I removed the scim package and everything went back to normal. But, I need to use scim, because I´m learning eastern languages and have to type in cjk (actually just jk), so I reinstalled scim and made an extra test. I´ve commented the line o /etc/profile that was starting scim and, as I expected, scim was still launching, and gnome got slow again. I´ve checked everywhere for another file that could be launching scim, but I couldn´t find it. Where could be scim starting from?
Thank you for your help.
