Reverting back to a xorg-server without hal

Hi, i have unsuccessfully tried to revert back to a xorg-server which doesnt take advantage of the bloatware and unusefulness of hal without success.
Its for the most part irrelevant to the rants about input hotplugging. I dislike hal (note: seems im not alone since GNOME is replacing it also: http://blogs.gnome.org/hughsie/2008/11/ … kit-power/ ) .
Its IMO uber useless for everyone who doesnt use DE's or file managers
Anyway like i said i didnt have any success. Keyboard and mouse didnt work inside X.
What i did is just take the PKGBUILD from CVS and disabled hal and dbus. http://repos.archlinux.org/viewvc.cgi/x … iew=markup
Does anyone by any chance have a working script?

There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)
