Hi everyone
I know about hal & hotlugging in new Xorg, but I can't solve a few things related
For now I use old configuration with disabled hotplugging, because hotplugging is unable to detect my native resolution 1200x800 and expand screen by xrandr to 2400x1024
After upgrade:
-> glxgears shows about 50FPS instead 150FPS before upgrade (glxinfo: "direct rendering: yes")
bash-3.2$ glxgears
Failed to initialize TTM buffer manager. Falling back to classic.
281 frames in 5.0 seconds = 56.180 FPS
XIO: fatal IO error 16 (Device or resource busy) on X server ":0.0"
after 1032 requests (290 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
-> e17, kwin, compiz, fluxbox compozitiong / transparency doesn't work, while in xfwm4 works (but xfwm4 can't handle my huge virtual screen)
-> everything is slowed down... and it is pretty anoying
-> games are now unabled to open audio device (I don't know if it is related)
-> xorg complains on tty:
(EE) intel(0): underrun on pipe A!
(EE) intel(0): underrun on pipe B!
(EE) config/hal: NewInputDeviceReques failed
-> Xorg crashes !!!
I think the best way is specify my hw to the hal, but i didn't find documentation.
